The Fins Shop
01772 788032

You can usually meet many of the shop and club members at the Withy Trees on Saturday afternoons from around 4.30pm.

Social Events have a red background, Club Trips have a dark blue background and in between are the Club Monthly Dives with a yellow date and for reference the shop events are also included in orange.

Have a look below if you want to organise a dive and want to avoid anything already booked. We'll try and keep it up to date.

If you are organising a dive email club@fins.org.uk and the whole club will be told about it.

Several trips have already been organized for 2010, many thanks to those who take the time to arrange these trips on behalf of the club. As these trips are charged at cost with no profit, a non-refundable deposit is required (to cover cost of boat charter) and you will have to leave your names in the dairy at the shop. The way it works is the first people to pay go on the trip so there should be no names “penciled in”.

There is now another way of finding out about Fins Club dives. Get onto Facebook and sign up to membership of FINS SUB AQUA CLUB. All the events are listed on there. The shop also has a Facebook group called FINS.

2-4 April 2010 St Abbs, Scotland
Weekend Camping and Diving, St Abbs camping Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, diving (shore) Saturday and Sunday.

From this tiny, ancient and picturesque harbour on the east coast of the Scottish Borders, with Dive St. Abbs divers can explore the sea, fishermen can catch fish and everyone can see the amazing geology, exciting history and wonderful wildlife and birds to be found along this spectacular coastline.

More details will follow as the time get closer however shore diving from and
camping in St Abbs. Numbers of divers for this trip are dictated by spaces on the campsite. There is only one campsite and, when we last asked, they had 12 pitches remaining for the Easter weekend (2nd, 3rd and 4th April 2010). The idea is you 'phone them and book your own pitch, turn up and dive if you want to. It really is that easy. You need to let us know you are turning up by adding your name to the events diary in the shop. Campsite is Crosslaw caravan park (www.crosslaw.co.uk) cost is about £15 a night for a tent.

Familiar to most of us, again using the same boats as the shop Oban trips and visiting many of the same dive sites, but with the opportunity to head further up the sound of Mull towards Tobermory (Balamory for those with young children).

Situated in the small village of Lochaline, 44 miles west of Fort William on the West Coast of Scotland. With easy access to the clear waters of the Sound, which boasts some of Britain's best-known wreck dives, in addition to an abundance of drift, shallow, scenic, and shore dive sites.
