December at Barton Grange in
the Barton Suite. The bar opens from 7pm with dinner served between 7:30pm –
8:00pm; last orders are 12:30am with the party finishing at 1:00am. The
total price is £47.50 now I no this is quite expensive compared to the £30
one’s we usually go to but I can guarantee you it will be a night to
remember, much better than all the others. The Barton Suite Christmas
parties are renowned for fantastic food, which you get to choose on the
night instead of ordering beforehand; it’s got lively entertainment Rob
Falcon style and a big party atmosphere. And look at the menu…

Smoked Salmon Ribbons (Pickled asparagus and rocket brushetta, chive crème
fraiche)
Homemade chicken liver pate (Aged port and thyme, roast onion and pear
chutney)
Vine ripened Tomato and mozzarella salad (Pommery and herb dressing)
Then it’s…
Cream of roast pepper and butternut squash soup,
Mandarin sorbet, Cointreau syrup.
And then…
Medallions of Beef Fillet (Finished with shallots, Madeira, cream and
Stilton)
Roast Turkey (Traditional seasoning, chipolata sausage and rich gravy)
Delice of poached Salmon (Shellfish sauce)
Bean Cassoulet (Cous cous and roast vegetables)
All served with a selection of market
fresh vegetables
Now for the best bit…
Christmas Plum Pudding (Rum sauce)
Steamed Ginger Pudding (Honeycomb ice cream)
Seasonal fruits and berries (Champagne and vanilla syrup, mascarpone cream)
Selection of local cheeses (Served with water biscuits, celery and grapes)
And once we have all put on about a stone
