A monthly dip
for all club members of all levels at a local dive site, usually Capernwray.
Leave your name in the diary, check if anyone else has left their name then
go diving. This is an informal arrangement, but it is suggested that people
meet at the shop around 09.30. Any kit hired from the shop is subject to the
shop rules for hiring kit. |

ANOTHER
WEEKEND DIVING!
Another weekend of camping and diving is being organised for the August
Bank Holiday weekend at Trearddur Bay on Anglesey. This time the weather
will be perfect (not just great) and we should be able to get quite a
few dives and beers in over the weekend.
Camping is at Blackthorn Farm near
Trearddur Bay and they have plenty of space for tents. The idea is to
book your camping site direct with Blackthorn Farm on 01407 765262 as
soon as possible and they will take half of the camping fees using
credit card over the phone. Because it is the bank holiday, the campsite
will want you to book three nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) each of which cost
£16 per tent
per
night (without an electrical hookup). Ronnie will have an electrical
hookup if you need to recharge torches etc. The club already has three
tents booked into the campsite.
There are no further fees or deposits
needed but you should email Ronnie or the club on
club@fins.org.uk and get your name
in the book in the shop so we can get a feel for the numbers coming.
There will probably be a short
meeting nearer the time to organise who brings what and where we might
dive around Anglesey but on past form there are plenty of places to get
wet around the island. |

Got a
weekend pencilled in with the boat at Bridlington. It is going to be 28th
and 29th September 2008. The boat is for 12 people, cost will be £80 for 2
days diving plus accommodation, which is about £25 per person per night in a
B&B, single, twin, double or family rooms. If people want to do it cheaper
there are plenty of camp sites nearby too.
To book
your place, have your name put in the diary at the shop with the £80
boat charge, which is non-refundable.
Although possibly full it
is still worth getting your name on the list at the shop as a standby if you
want to go. |

Future visit 2008? |

In March 2007 Fins visited a dive centre near York
for a Hard Hat and Hyperbaric Chamber - Ever wondered what it was like to
dive before SCUBA was invented? This was the chance to dive in hard-hat and
standard dress. Hopefully there may be a return visit sometime in the
future.
